Residency Program

Access to Treatment

Custom treatment plans tailored to your unique needs, including substance use counseling and mental health support.

Chapter 01

Why early recovery needs a plan beyond the house

A bed and a roof are a start, and they matter. But in early recovery, the weeks between the first sober night and the first steady month are crowded with things a house alone can't answer: cravings that arrive at odd hours, a mind that hasn't been well for a long time, and a calendar of appointments that nobody has helped you keep.

That's why Still Worthy's residency program in Charleston, SC puts access to treatment right beside safe housing instead of somewhere down the road. Substance use counseling and mental health support are part of what you're connected to, so you aren't left to work through phone trees and waiting lists while you're also trying to stay sober.

If you're reading this for yourself, you don't have to have it all figured out. If you're reading it for someone you love, know that being willing to ask for help is enough to begin.

How residents are connected to counseling and mental health support

Substance use and mental health often travel together, and a person in early recovery deserves to have both looked after. Residents are connected to substance use counseling and to mental health support, with the plan shaped around that person's own needs rather than a one size program handed to everyone who walks in.

Resident Director Liz “Bella” Bacon is a Certified Peer Support Specialist, so there is someone in the house trained in peer support, not only someone who points you toward a phone number.

Getting to those appointments is part of the same promise. Still Worthy provides reliable transportation to treatment sessions, so a missing ride never has to be the reason a session gets skipped.

Chapter 03

What staying connected looks like week to week

Connection isn't one intake meeting. It's showing up to the next session, and the one after that, with people around who notice when you haven't. Week to week, that means appointments stay on the calendar, rides get arranged, and the questions that come up between sessions have a person to land on.

The faith side of the house keeps pace with it. God-centered 12 Steps, Biblical teachings, fitness and wellness, and fellowship with the other residents fill out a week, so counseling and mental health support aren't the only things holding you up.

Still Worthy serves people regardless of an individual's ability to pay. When you're ready to talk about it, call (843) 566-5788 and ask what the next steps are.
