Residency Program
Safe and Stable Housing
A secure and supportive environment where you can focus on healing without the distractions of everyday life.
Chapter 01
What pulls early recovery apart before it can settle
Most people don't lose their footing in recovery all at once. It goes in smaller ways: a place where something is always going wrong, housemates who are still using, days with no shape to them, and nobody who would notice if you disappeared for a weekend. Any one of those is hard. Together they make staying sober feel like swimming upstream.
In early recovery, structure matters because the mind is still learning to trust itself. A calm house, people who are working toward the same thing, and a day that has a rhythm take a lot of small decisions off your shoulders, and those are the decisions that are hardest to get right in the first weeks.
That's the idea behind safe and stable housing at Still Worthy in Charleston, SC: a secure, supportive place where you can focus on healing without the distractions of everyday life.

What a SCARR and NARR certified residence holds to
Still Worthy is a certified program of The South Carolina Alliance for Recovery Residences (SCARR). SCARR is an affiliate of The National Association of Recovery Residences (NARR), and between them they establish and uphold the standards for recovery housing throughout South Carolina and the United States.
For a family trying to choose a place, that matters. It means the house answers to a standard that was set outside of it, by organizations whose whole job is recovery residences, instead of simply asking you to take its word.
Still Worthy is a recovery residence, with access to treatment and peer support, and a non-profit. It serves people regardless of an individual's ability to pay.
Chapter 03
The daily rhythm of the house: fellowship, fitness, chores and accountability
A good recovery house runs on ordinary things done together. Residents share the work of keeping a home: chores, meals, the small tasks that remind a person they're needed and capable. Doing them alongside others is how trust gets rebuilt, one dish and one honest answer at a time.
Fellowship is part of every week. God-centered 12 Steps and Biblical teachings give the day a spiritual center, and fitness and wellness give it a physical one. The grounds help, too: log cabins, and a sand volleyball court where a hard week can turn into a loud, laughing afternoon.
Accountability sits underneath all of it. Not as punishment, but as people who care enough to ask how you're really doing. If you'd like to know whether Still Worthy is the right fit, call (843) 566-5788 and talk it through with someone.
